Barrel Systems

The Infusion Spiral Barrel Pack consists of six Spirals, each one nine inches long, and all six connected by a food grade mesh to permit quick and easy insertion and removal through the bung hole. One Pack treats a 59-gallon to 70-gallon barrel. Once placed in the barrel, wine will pass through the nylon mesh and immediately begin penetrating the large surface area of the Spirals, triggering the release of the oak’s complex aromatic and flavor components. For best results, keep the Spirals in the wine for six weeks to fully extract all available components in the oak. Leaving the Spirals with the wine longer will not add more aromas or flavors but it will continue the smooth integration of wine and oak.
